Abstrak

This research aims to solve students' learning difficulties in Quantity and Unit material in class X MIPA at SMA Eria Medan. This research uses research methods and development of instruments for assessing physics learning outcomes tests in the cognitive domain, with data collection through theoretical validation by experts and field trials. The research results show that the test instrument developed has high validity and reliability. Difficulty level analysis shows that most of the questions are in the medium and very easy categories, while analysis of discriminating power shows that most of the questions have high discriminating power. Validity testing through student answers also shows that all questions are valid. Therefore, this instrument can be used to measure student learning outcomes accurately and effectively. This research also emphasizes the importance of developing instruments that are appropriate to learning objectives and experts, as well as the importance of teacher and student involvement in the instrument development process.
