ETIKA PROFESI DAN KEWIRAUSAHAAN SOSIAL: PERAN LULUSAN EKONOMI PEMBANGUNAN DALAM PENGELOLAAN BUMDes DAN UMKM

Penguatan ekonomi lokal semakin mengandalkan kemampuan desa mengelola BUMDes dan UMKM secara profesional, etis, dan berorientasi sosial. Di tengah kebutuhan tata kelola yang akuntabel, lulusan Ekonomi Pembangunan berpotensi memainkan peran strategis sebagai perancang model usaha sosial, fasilitator pemberdayaan, dan penjaga etika organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi literatur dan analisis tematik untuk menggali bagaimana etika profesi dan nilai kewirausahaan sosial dapat memperkuat BUMDes dan UMKM. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas manajerial lulusan, penerapan kode etik, dan orientasi dampak sosial terbukti memperbaiki kinerja kelembagaan desa, terutama dalam transparansi, pelayanan sosial, dan inovasi ekonomi lokal. Namun hambatan seperti lemahnya kapasitas pengurus desa, akses pembiayaan, serta kurangnya pelatihan teknis masih menjadi kendala utama. Artikel ini menawarkan rekomendasi strategis berupa integrasi etika profesi dalam praktik lapangan, pendampingan rutin oleh lulusan, serta penguatan tata kelola berbasis dampak sosial..
Strengthening local economies increasingly depends on the ability of villages to manage Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in a professional, ethical, and socially oriented manner. Amid the growing demand for accountable governance, graduates of Development Economics hold strategic potential as designers of social enterprise models, facilitators of community empowerment, and guardians of organizational ethics. This study employs a qualitative approach through literature review and thematic analysis to explore how professional ethics and social entrepreneurship values can reinforce the performance of BUMDes and MSMEs. The findings indicate that graduates managerial capacity, adherence to ethical codes, and commitment to social impact significantly enhance village institutional performance, particularly in transparency, social service delivery, and local economic innovation. Nevertheless, challenges such as limited capacity among village administrators, restricted access to financing, and insufficient technical training continue to hinder optimal performance. This article offers strategic recommendations, including integrating professional ethics into field practices, establishing regular mentoring by graduates, and strengthening governance frameworks grounded in social impact.
