Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran membaca kritis teks laporan hasil observasi berbantuan media PowerPoint serta mengkaji aktivitas peserta didik, peran media, dan kendala yang muncul dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif kualitatif. Fokus penelitian diarahkan pada tahapan pembelajaran membaca kritis, kemampuan peserta didik dalam menemukan dan menganalisis struktur teks laporan hasil observasi, serta peran media PowerPoint dalam mendukung pemahaman struktur teks secara sistematis. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui analisis proses pembelajaran dan hasil kerja peserta didik, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran membaca kritis berbantuan PowerPoint dilaksanakan secara sistematis melalui tahap pendahuluan, inti, dan penutup. Peserta didik mampu mengidentifikasi pernyataan umum, deskripsi bagian, dan deskripsi manfaat dengan disertai alasan yang logis. Media PowerPoint berperan penting dalam membantu visualisasi struktur teks, memfokuskan perhatian peserta didik, serta mendorong proses berpikir kritis. Kendala berupa keterbatasan kepercayaan diri dan waktu pembelajaran dapat diatasi melalui contoh analisis, pembelajaran kelompok, dan bimbingan bertahap.

This study aims to describe the process of critical reading instruction on observation report texts supported by PowerPoint media, focusing on students’ learning activities, the role of the media, and the challenges encountered during instruction. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive qualitative design. The research focused on the stages of critical reading instruction, students’ ability to identify and analyze the structure of observation report texts, and the role of PowerPoint in supporting systematic text comprehension. The data were obtained from the analysis of instructional processes and students’ written work, and were analyzed using an interactive data analysis model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that critical reading instruction supported by PowerPoint was implemented systematically through the introductory, core, and closing stages. Students were able to identify general statements, descriptions of parts, and descriptions of benefits with logical reasoning. PowerPoint played an important role in visualizing text structure, directing students’ attention, and fostering critical thinking. Challenges related to students’ confidence and limited instructional time were addressed through modeled analysis, group-based activities, and gradual guidance.
