Abstrak

In this modern era, technological advancements are progressing rapidly. The emergence of new challenges related to technology replacing human jobs has become a hot topic of discussion, and the profession of public accountants is not exempt from these emerging challenges. Public accountants must be able to keep pace with the rapid changes in the world due to technology, and the integration of technology into accounting is inevitable. Some examples include the use of e-accounting, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cloud computing. This article draws data from 15 journals between 2019 - 2023, where the main topic revolves around the development of public accountants in response to technological advancements. The findings presented conclude that public accountants must be sensitive in adapting their roles in technology-assisted accounting.
