Several aspects related to wind power generation are discussed in this paper, including estimation of its production, reduction of environmental pollution, evaluation of wind power resources, differences in maps and operating wind turbines, structural constraints on solar collectors, operation of virtual power plants, selection of sites for its operation, and optimization of wind-powered photovoltaic storage energy utilization. In addition, it involves the analysis of operational data from battery energy storage systems supporting wind power plants in Brazil, evaluation of the suitability of wind power plant sites in Ethiopia, control of offshore wind turbines, and geospatial analysis of wind power plants in Saudi Arabia. It also covers the prediction of wind power generation in Northern Norway and wind-powered project development in Thailand. Furthermore, the review also examines model development and control systems for wind power plants, emergency and oscillation control systems for wind power plants, and technical-economic evaluation of utility-scale wind power plants in Ghana. Recent research has also explored wind energy prediction in China, with stability of offshore wind power generation systems, monitoring of wind power generation systems, optimization of wind power generation system control, and evaluation of wind resources and wind turbines for urban areas. In particular, this article discusses research aimed at optimal siting of various wind power plant installations by applying spatial modeling and integer programming in Konya province, which recommends 65 wind turbines as the best option considering cost
