PENGARUH PARTISIPASI DALAM ORGANISASI KRISTEN UKMKP (UNIT KEGIATAN MAHASISWA KRISTEN PROTESTAN) UNIMED TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN SPIRITUAL MAHASISWA

Abstrak

Studi ini mengadopsi metode kuantitatif dengan fokus pada metode korelasi untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh partisipasi dalam Organisasi Kristen UKMKP (Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Kristen Protestan) di Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) terhadap pertumbuhan spiritual mahasiswa. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang aktif dalam UKMKP UNIMED. Metode dalam proses ini, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan melalui Google Form, sedangkan analisisnya diselenggarakan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara partisipasi dalam UKMKP dengan pertumbuhan spiritual mahasiswa, dengan partisipasi tersebut mampu menjelaskan sekitar 42,2% dari variasi dalam pertumbuhan spiritual mahasiswa. Implikasi dari temuan ini adalah pentingnya peran organisasi keagamaan dalam mendukung perkembangan dimensi spiritualitas mahasiswa di lingkungan kampus, namun tetap diingat bahwa terdapat faktor-faktor lain diluar variabel partisipasi dalam UKMKP yang juga berperan dalam pertumbuhan spiritual mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lanjutan diperlukan untuk pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif terhadap faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pertumbuhan spiritual manusia di lingkungan kampus.

This study adopts a quantitative method focusing on correlation analysis to explore the influence of participation in the Christian Organization UKMKP (Protestant Christian Student Activity Unit) at Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED) on students' spiritual growth. The subjects of the research are students actively involved in UKMKP UNIMED. Data collection is conducted through a questionnaire (google form), and the analysis is carried out using the SPSS software. The results indicate a significant relationship between participation in UKMKP and students' spiritual growth, with participation accounting for approximately 42.2% of the variance in spiritual growth. The implications of these findings underscore the importance of religious organizations in supporting the development of students' spiritual dimensions on campus. However, it is important to note that there are other factors beyond participation in UKMKP that also play a role in students' spiritual growth. Therefore, further research is needed for a more comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing human spiritual growth in the campus environment.
