MANUSIA IRONIS LIBERAL PERSPEKTIF RICHARD RORTY SERTA RELEVANSINYA DALAM KEHIDUPAN MASYARAKAT MULTIKULTURAL

Abstrak

Tujuan dari penulisan Artikel ini adalah untuk menggali dan memahami konsep Manusia Ironis Perspektif Richard Rorty. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan. Dalam tulisan ini, penulis akan menjelasakan siapa itu Richard Rorty dan memahami apa yang dimaksudkan dengan Muanusi ironis. Manusia Ironis itu sendiri adalah sikap dimana seseorang tidak memutlakkan keyakinannya, bahkan keyakinan yang paling mendasar dalam hidupnya. Pandangan Rorty juga adalah sebuah rujukan yang ditawarkan untuk menanggapi situasi konteks kehidupan di Abad XXI ini. Rorty melihat banyak orang melakukan perbuatan etis atau bermoral tapi dilandasakan pada ideologi tertentu tanpa kemauan atau kebebasan dari pribadi seseorang. Sehingga apapun yang dilakukan harus dilandasankan pada norma atau kepercayaaan tertentu. Seperti yang terjadi di Indonesia sekarang, nilai solidaritas mulai menurun dan merosot. Selain itu, hilangnya nilai solidaritas diakibatkan Lingkungan strategis di tingkat nasional yakni munculnya politik identitas dan politisasi suku, agama, ras, dan aliran (SARA) untuk kepentingan politik praktis. Hal inilah yang dikritik oleh oleh Rorty. Rorty berpendapat bersolider atau berbuat etis tidak harus didasarkan pada suatu landasan metafisik atau prinsip-prinsip umum (aturan).

The purpose of writing this article is to explore and understand the concept of Richard Rorty is Ironic Human Perspective. This paper uses library research methods. In this article, the author will explain who Richard Rorty is and understand what is meant by ironic human. Ironic Man itself is an attitude where a person does not absolute his beliefs, even the most basic beliefs in his life. Rorty view is also a reference offered to respond to the context of life in the 21st Century. Rorty saw that many people carried out ethical or moral actions but based on a certain ideology without a person's personal will or freedom. So whatever is done must be based on certain norms or beliefs. As is happening in Indonesia now, the value of solidarity is starting to decline and decline. Apart from that, the loss of the value of solidarity is due to the strategic environment at the national level, namely the emergence of identity politics and the politicization of ethnicity, religion, race and sect (SARA) for practical political purposes. This is what Rorty criticized. Rorty believes that standing in solidarity or acting ethically does not have to be based on a metaphysical foundation or general principles (rules).
