EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA COUPLE CARD TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS SISWA KELAS IV SD INPRE BONTOBILA KECAMATAN BAJENG KABUPATEN GOWA

Abstrak

Masalah utama dalam penelitian ini yaitu rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam keterampilan menulis, hal ini terjadi karena pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru terkesan lebih monoton dengan minimnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang sifatnya merangsang minat dan motivasi siswa dalam menulis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media couple card terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Bontobila Kecamatan Bajeng Kabupaten Gowa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pra-eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Bontobila Kecamatan Bajeng Kabupaten Gowa yang berjumlah 17 orang. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh yaitu populasi sekaligus menjadi sampel sebanyak 17 orang dari laki-laki 5 orang dan perempuan 12 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes dan lembar observasi. Hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS versi 26 memperlihatkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa yang diajar menggunakan media couple card (posttest) lebih tinggi yaitu 79,24 dibandingkan nilai rata-rata siswa yang diajar tanpa menggunakan media couple card (pretest) yaitu 69,47. Adapun persentase aktivitas siswa sebanyak 70% pada saat pretest sedangkan pada saat posttest sebanyak 90%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pada saat posttest aktivitas siswa lebih aktif saat proses pembelajaran. Uji hipotesis menggunakan Paired Sample Test diperoleh thitung = 12,386, df = 16, dan berdasarkan tabel distribusi diperoleh ttabel = 2,11991. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh karena thitung > ttabel (thitung = 12,386 > ttabel = 2,11991), dengan demikian H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media couple card efektif digunakan terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Bontobila Kecamatan Bajeng Kabupaten Gowa.

The main problem in this research is the low ability of students in writing skills, this occurs because the learning carried out by teachers seems more monotonous with the minimal use of learning media which stimulates students' interest and motivation in writing. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using couple card media on the writing skills of fourth grade students at SD Inpres Bontobila, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. This research is quantitative research with the type of research being pre-experimental research. The population in this study was 17 grade IV students at SD Inpres Bontobila, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency. The sample used in this research used a saturated sampling technique, namely the population and sample were 17 people, 5 men and 12 women. Data is collected through tests and observation sheets. The results of data analysis using the SPSS version 26 application show that the average score of students who were taught using couple card media (posttest) was higher, namely 79.24, compared to the average score of students who were taught without using couple card media (pretest), namely 69. 47. The percentage of student activity was 70% during the pretest while at the posttest it was 90%. This shows that during the posttest students were more active during the learning process. Hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample Test obtained tcount = 12.386, df = 16, and based on the distribution table obtained ttable = 2.11991. Based on the results obtained because tcount > ttable (tcount = 12.386 > ttable = 2.11991), thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Based on the results of the research above, it can be concluded that the couple card media is effectively used for the writing skills of fourth grade students at SD Inpres Bontobila, Bajeng District, Gowa Regency.
