Responsibility should be instilled in children from an early age, supported by consistent practice from parents. However, not all parents are able to be fully present throughout their children's developmental stages. This qualitative study aims to examine the effectiveness of a token economy system in enhancing responsibility among young children. The study involved 16 kindergarten students from Class A as research participants. Data on students' responsible behavior were collected using observation sheets and analyzed through frequency tables and percentages. The results showed that the use of token economy—specifically in the form of stickers awarded to students—was effective in increasing responsible behavior. However, a decline was observed after the intervention ended. These findings highlight the need for further research into the application of token economy techniques in other areas of character development to help instill positive behaviors in young learners.
