ANALISIS PENGENDALIAN PERSEDIAAN BAHAN BAKU FURNITUR MENGGUNAKAN METODE MATERIAL REQUIREMENT PLANNING (MRP) DI CV. ARAFAH JAYA PURWAKARTA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perencanaan kebutuhan material dan menentukan teknik lot-sizing yang paling ekonomis pada produk furnitur di CV. Arafah Jaya Purwakarta. Ketidakpastian dalam pemenuhan material sering kali menyebabkan ketidakefisienan biaya persediaan pada perusahaan. Masalah utama yang dibahas meliputi perencanaan kebutuhan material menggunakan metode Material Requirement Planning (MRP) dan penentuan teknik lot-sizing yang menghasilkan total biaya persediaan paling minimal untuk produk pintu, lemari, rak, dan kursi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Material Requirement Planning (MRP). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan pencatatan historis penggunaan material perusahaan. Peramalan kebutuhan material dilakukan perbandingan dari 3 metode Double Moving Average (DMA), Double Exponential Smoothing (Brown), dan Double Exponential Smoothing (Holt) untuk mendapatkan peramalan terbaik dari nilai MAD, MSE, dan MAPE terkecil, kemudian dilakukan perbandingan teknik lot-sizing antara Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dan Silver Meal untuk mendapatkan total biaya persediaan yang paling ekonomis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode MRP mampu menyusun kebutuhan material secara sistematis dan terstruktur, sehingga jadwal pemesanan material dapat ditentukan dengan lebih akurat untuk menghindari keterlambatan produksi. Berdasarkan perbandingan teknik lot-sizing yang dilakukan, metode Silver-Meal terbukti menjadi teknik yang paling ekonomis bagi CV. Arafah Jaya Purwakarta. Penerapan metode ini menghasilkan efisiensi total biaya persediaan sebesar 27,97% dibandingkan dengan metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ). Disarankan bagi perusahaan untuk mengadopsi metode Silver-Meal dan melakukan digitalisasi pencatatan data historis untuk mendukung akurasi perencanaan produksi di masa depan.
This study aims to perform material requirement planning and determine the most economical lot-sizing technique for furniture products at CV. Arafah Jaya Purwakarta. Uncertainty in material procurement often leads to inventory cost inefficiencies within the company. The main issues addressed include material requirement planning using the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) method and the determination of the lot-sizing technique that results in the lowest total inventory cost for door, cupboard, rack, and chair products. The research method employed is quantitative descriptive with a Material Requirement Planning (MRP) approach. Data were collected through observation and historical records of the company's material usage. Material requirement forecasting involved a comparison of three methods: Double Moving Average (DMA), Double Exponential Smoothing (Brown), and Double Exponential Smoothing (Holt) to obtain the best forecast based on the smallest MAD, MSE, and MAPE values. Subsequently, a comparison of lot-sizing techniques was conducted between Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Silver-Meal to identify the most economical total inventory cost. The results indicate that the application of the MRP method effectively organizes material requirements in a systematic and structured manner, allowing for more accurate scheduling of material orders to avoid production delays. Based on the lot-sizing technique comparison, the Silver-Meal method proved to be the most economical technique for CV. Arafah Jaya Purwakarta. The implementation of this method resulted in a total inventory cost efficiency of 27.97% compared to the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. It is recommended that the company adopts the Silver-Meal method and implements the digitization of historical data to support the accuracy of future production planning.
