The Community Service Program (KKN) conducted by UMRAH Group 8 implemented a program entitled “Preliminary Mapping of the Distribution of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sungai Enam Subdistrict Based on Geographic Coordinates” as a form of community service. This program aimed to collect, identify, and map the presence of MSMEs in Sungai Enam Subdistrict in order to provide more structured information regarding the potential and distribution of local businesses. The activity employed a descriptive approach through field observations, coordination with the subdistrict authorities, direct data collection, documentation, and the recording of geographic coordinates of MSME locations. The collected data were subsequently compiled and processed into a distribution map illustrating the geographical distribution of MSMEs across the area. The preliminary field data collection identified 18 MSME units, although these did not represent all MSMEs in Sungai Enam Subdistrict. Most of the identified businesses operated in the culinary sector, particularly producing otak-otak, while several others included coffee shops and cafés. Although the implementation of the program encountered several challenges, such as the limited availability of business owners, difficulties in meeting all MSME operators directly, and incomplete business profile information, the activity successfully produced an initial database that can be utilized by the subdistrict authorities. The resulting distribution map is expected to serve as a reference for data updates, business development, promotional activities, and the design of more targeted and sustainable MSME empowerment programs.
