Effective communication between teachers and students is a crucial aspect of the educational process, especially within Special Needs Schools (SLB), which have their own unique dynamics. The urgency of this research lies in the vital role of teacher communication in creating a supportive learning environment that fosters the academic and social development of students with special needs. This study aims to describe and analyze the communication patterns used by teachers at SLB Yayasan Pupuk Kaltim in their efforts to improve students' academic abilities and social skills. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, using data collection techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The novelty of this research lies in its focus on integrating academic and social development within educational communication, which are often studied separately. The target of this research is to contribute to the development of more inclusive and effective teacher communication strategies and to serve as a reference for educators and educational institutions in managing learning processes at SLB.
