TUJUAN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM MENURUT IMAM SYAFI’I

Abstrak

This study examines the purpose of education from an Islamic perspective as explained by Imam al-Shafi'i. According to him, education is directed toward shaping individuals who possess broad knowledge, good character, and devotion to Allah SWT. Knowledge is not merely a means of acquiring information but also a way to draw closer to the Creator. Imam al-Shafi'i emphasizes the need for harmony between religious knowledge and high morality, so that a Muslim personality can be formed—one that benefits both oneself and the social environment.
