Abstrak

The research that the researchers conducted was entitled "The Role of Leadership in Increasing Employee Work Productivity in Kedokanbunder District, Indramayu Regency". This research is motivated by the role of leadership which is one of the issues in management that is still interesting enough to be discussed today. Human resources are a very important factor in an organization both large andsmall scale organizations. In large-scale organizations, human resources are seen as a very decisive element in the business development process, the role of human resources is becoming increasingly important. Good leadership is leadership that will be followed by employees so that employee work productivity will be better, therefore leaders have a responsibility to their employees both physically and spiritually for work success. The purpose of this research is to find out the inhibiting factors in increasing the work productivity of employees in the Kedokanbunder District Office, Indramayu Regency, to find out the efforts made by the sub-district head in increasing employee work productivity in the Kedokanbunder District Office, Indramayu Regency. The research method that researchers use is a qualitative research method. The informant selection technique in this study used a purposive technique, namely choosing and deliberately choosing several informants who knew about the problem under study. The informants in this study included key informants, namely the sub-district head and supporting informants, namely the general and staffing subdivision head, head of village community empowerment. As for the collection of data collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Testing the validity of the data researchers used triangulation techniques and data analysis techniques researchers used descriptive which included, data reduction, data display and verification and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research conducted in the Kedokanbunder District, Indramayu Regency, regarding the role of leadership in increasing productivity in the Kedokanbunder District, Indramayu Regency, it is quite optimal because in this case the sub-district head and employees have carried out their duties in accordance with applicable regulations. The degree of task structure at the Kedokanbunder District Office is quite optimal because it has the main tasks and functions of each in carrying out the wheels of government. The power position of a leader achieved by formal authority, with a high position power legally and formally, a camat is easy to influence subordinates to carry out their duties and obligations by achieving a leadership role in increasing the work productivity of employees in the Kedokanbunder District, Indramayu Regency.
