Abstrak

Skripsi ini membahas tentang Penerapan Media gambar seri Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Siswa Menulis Cerita Pendek Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Kelas V Sekolah Dasar 183/IV Kota Jambi. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengungkapkan Penerapan media gambar seri untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menulis cerita pendek pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Kelas V Sekolah Dasar 183/IV Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Action Research). Desain penelitian menggunakan model Jhon Elliot. Adapun subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kuantitatif, dan kualitatif. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kemampuan siswa menulis cerita pendek melalui media gambar seri kelas V di Sekolah Dasar 183/IV Kota Jambi, dimana keberhasilan Kemampuan Siswa Menulis Cerita Pendek siklus I mencapai 58,95 dan pada siklus II 89,79. Persentase jumlah siswa kelas V di Sekolah Dasar 183/IV Kota Jambi yang mencapai KKM pada siklus II lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan persentase pada siklus I.  Pada siklus I aktivitas siswa kelas V di Sekolah Dasar 183/IV Kota Jambi masih berpusat pada guru sehingga nilai siswa kelas V di Sekolah Dasar 183/IV Kota Jambi  berada pada kategori rendah dengan persentase 58,95. Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan aktivitas siswa kelas V di Sekolah Dasar 183/IV Kota Jambi pada kategori sangat tinggi memperoleh persentase sebesar 89,79 dimana terdapat perubahan perilaku dan Kemampuan Siswa Menulis Cerita Pendek sebagai hasil dari proses belajar baik secara fisik maupun mental.

This thesis discusses the Application of Picture Series Media to Improve Students' Ability to Write Short Stories in Indonesian Language Lessons in Grade V of Elementary School 183/IV Jambi City. The purpose of this study is to reveal the Application of Picture Series Media to improve students' ability to write short stories in Indonesian Language lessons in Grade V of Elementary School 183/IV Jambi City. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research design uses the Jhon Elliot model. The subjects in this study were grade V students. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were carried out descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the study showed that there was the ability of students to write short stories through picture series media in grade V of Elementary School 183/IV Jambi City, where the success of student learning activity in cycle I reached 58.95 and in cycle II 89.79. The percentage of fifth grade students at Elementary School 183/IV Jambi City who achieved the KKM in cycle II was higher than the percentage in cycle I. In cycle I, the activities of fifth grade students at Elementary School 183/IV Jambi City were still centered on the teacher so that the grades of fifth grade students at Elementary School 183/IV Jambi City were in the low category with a percentage of 58.95. In cycle II, there was an increase in the activities of fifth grade students at Elementary School 183/IV Jambi City in the very high category, obtaining a percentage of 89.79 where there were changes in student behavior and learning activity as a result of the learning process both physically and mentally.
