MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MELALUI KOMBINASI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING DAN THINK PAIR SHARE

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui kombinasi model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dan Think Pair Share (TPS). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 32 siswa kelas VIII Anti Narkoba SMP Negeri 1 Palu. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes hasil belajar, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan keaktifan siswa dari 31% pada pra-siklus menjadi 94% pada siklus II, sedangkan ketuntasan hasil belajar meningkat dari 28% menjadi 94% dengan rata-rata nilai 84,6. Simpulan menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi model PBL dan TPS efektif meningkatkan keaktifan serta hasil belajar matematika siswa.

This study aims to improve students’ activeness and learning outcomes in mathematics through a combination of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and Think Pair Share (TPS) models. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 32 eighth-grade students of the Anti-Narcotics class at SMP Negeri 1 Palu. Data were collected through observation, learning achievement tests, and documentation, then analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods. The results showed an increase in student activeness from 31% in the pre-cycle to 94% in the second cycle, while learning mastery improved from 28% to 94%, with an average score of 84.6. The findings indicate that the combination of PBL and TPS models effectively enhances students’ activeness and mathematics learning outcomes.
