Abstrak

The increasing maternal and infant mortality rates in Serang City are a serious concern in the health sector. Various factors have been identified as the main causes of this increase. This study aims to analyze the factors that contribute to the increase in maternal and infant mortality rates in Serang City. The research method used is statistical data analysis and case studies, involving representative samples from the relevant population.The research results show that factors such as lack of access to quality health services, lack of trained medical personnel, lack of understanding of appropriate prenatal and postnatal care, as well as economic factors such as poverty and economic instability are the main causes of the increase in maternal mortality. and babies in Serang City. These findings provide a strong basis for relevant parties to implement policies and programs aimed at reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in this region.
