PENAMBANGAN GEOTHERMAL DI POCO LEOK SEBAGAI PERSOALAN BAGI EKOLOGIS: DITINJAU DARI PERSPEKTIF DEEP ECOLOGY ARNE NAESS

Abstrak

Tulisan ini lebih menyoroti pelbagai persoalan dalam kehidupan manusia yang berujung pada kehancuran nilai intrinsik alam baik itu masih dalam konteks perencanaan maupun aksi (proyek) yang telah terlaksana. Pelbagai perosoalan ekologis yang kerap terjadi saat ini nampaknya disebabkan oleh pola pikir manusia yang keliru tentang alam sehingga alam selalu dipandang sebagai objek semata. Dalam hal ini, manusia memandang dirinya sebagai subjek yang menguasai alam semesta (antroposentrisme). Salah satu contoh persoalan ekologis yang tak asing didengar belakangan ini ialah penambangan geothermal Poco Leok. Hemat penulis, persoalan ini sejatinya dapat diselesaikan dan keutuhan alam Poco Leok kembali terpelihara apabila adanya perubahan pola pikir manusia yang mengedepankan alam sebagai sentral dari semua ciptaan (ekosentrisme). Oleh karena itu, melalui metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan refleksi analitis ini, penulis memilih dan menjadikan pandangan deep ecology Arne Naess sebagai dasar analisis dari tulisan ini.

This paper highlights the various problems in huma life that lead to the destruction of the intrinsic value of nature, whether it is still in the context of planning or actions (project) that have been implemented. Various ecological problems that often occur today seem to be caused by the wrong human mindset about nature so that nature is always seen as an object. In this case, humans see themselves as subjects who control nature (anthropocentrism). One example of an ecological issue that is familiar to many in recent times is the addition of geothermal in Poco Leok. In the author’s opinion, this problem can actually be resolved and the natural integrity of Poco Leok can be preserved if there is a new change in human mindset about nature. Therofore, through this qualitative method with an analytical reflection approach, the author makes Arne Naess’s deep ecology view the basis for analyzing this paper.
