IMPLEMENTASI MEDIA CERITA DONGENG SEBAGAI PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER SISWA DI MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH NURUL ITTIHAD KOTA JAMBI

Skripsi ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pembentukan karakter sejak dini pada siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini membahas implementasi media cerita dongeng dalam pembentukan karakter siswa kelas II Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nurul Ittihad Kota Jambi. Fokus penelitian adalah pembentukan karakter tanggung jawab dan tolong-menolong. Guru berhasil mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai ini melalui kegiatan rutin dan diskusi kelas. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan bercerita dongeng efektif membentuk nilai-nilai karakter siswa. Sebagian besar siswa menunjukkan perilaku tanggung jawab dan tolong-menolong dengan menyelesaikan tugas tepat waktu, menjaga kebersihan kelas, bekerja sama dalam kelompok, serta membantu teman di dalam dan luar kelas. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu dan kondisi siswa yang beragam, kegiatan berjalan efektif dan menyenangkan. Dongeng terbukti menjadi media yang mudah dipahami siswa usia dini karena menyampaikan pesan moral secara kontekstual dan emosional. Selain itu, dongeng mampu menarik perhatian, membangun kedekatan emosional, dan memperkuat interaksi guru-siswa. Dengan demikian, penggunaan dongeng sebagai media pembelajaran tidak hanya menghibur, tetapi juga mendukung pembentukan karakter positif siswa secara menyeluruh.
This thesis is motivated by the importance of early character building in elementary school students. This study discusses the implementation of fairy tales as a medium in character building for second-grade students at Nurul Ittihad Elementary School in Jambi City. The focus of the study was the character building of responsibility and mutual assistance. Teachers successfully integrated these values through routine activities and class discussions. The study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that storytelling activities were effective in shaping students' character values. Most students demonstrated responsible and mutual assistance behavior by completing assignments on time, maintaining classroom cleanliness, working together in groups, and helping friends inside and outside the classroom. Despite obstacles such as limited time and diverse student conditions, the activity was effective and enjoyable. Fairy tales have proven to be a medium that is easily understood by early childhood students because they convey moral messages contextually and emotionally. In addition, fairy tales are able to attract attention, build emotional closeness, and strengthen teacher-student interactions. Thus, the use of fairy tales as a learning medium is not only entertaining, but also supports the overall development of positive character in students.
