ANALISIS PENGARUH KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF TARUNA TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PRAKTIK APP-PROCEDURAL DI POLITEKNIK PENERBANGAN MAKASSAR

Salah satu mata kuliah yang dipelajari dari taruna Pemanduan Lalu Lintas Udara yaitu mata kuliah praktik APP-Procedural. Masih banyak taruna yang mengalami kesulitan saat melakukan praktik. Dikarenakan dalam praktik APP- Procedural taruna tidak dapat melihat dengan mata posisi pesawat. jadi taruna harus membayangkan dan memprediksi lebih daripada saat memandu pesawat yang ada pada area Tower yang pesawatnya terlihat oleh mata. banyak sebab dari kendala itu dimana salah satu faktor utamanya yaitu kemampuan kognitif. Faktor kognitif memegang peranan penting dalam keberhasilan belajar seseorang, karena sebagian besar kegiatan belajar selalu dikaitkan dengan kesulitan mengingat dan berpikir. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket dalam memperoleh data-data dari taruna mengenai kemampuan kognitif. Dan data kemampuan praktik taruna yang didapatkan dari nilai Exam APP-Procedural. Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian yang diperoleh dari responden disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan kognitif memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan praktik taruna APP-Procedural, ini dapat dilihat dengan hasil perhitungan y = 31,036 + 0,731x. Selain itu dari hasil penelitian juga dapat diketahui bahwa kemampuan kognitif memiliki hubungan yang sangat penting terhadap kemampuan praktik taruna APP-procedural (korelasi product moment r = 87,3%), dimana kemampuan kognitif memberikan pengaruh sebesar 83,6% terhadap kemampuan praktik taruna APP-procedural. Diketahui bahwa faktor penting penunjang peningkatan kemampuan taruna pemanduan lalu lintas udara dalam praktik di lab APP-procedural adalah dengan meningkatkan pada diri masing-masing kemampuan kognitif-nya.

Because in the practice of APP-Procedural, cadets cannot see with their eyes the position of the aircraft. so cadets have to imagine and predict more than when guiding aircraft in the Tower area where the plane is visible to the eye. There are many reasons for this problem, where one of the main factors is cognitive ability. Cognitive factors have an important role for a person's success in learning because most activities in learning are always related to problems of remembering and thinking. The research method used is a quantitative method. The research instrument used a questionnaire to obtain data from cadets regarding cognitive abilities. And the cadets' practice ability data obtained from the APP-Procedural Exam scores. Based on the analysis of research data obtained from respondents, it can be concluded that cognitive ability has an influence on the practical ability of APP- Procedural cadets, this can be seen by the calculation results of y = 31.036 + 0.731x. In addition, from the results of the study, it can also be seen that cognitive ability has a very important relationship to the practice ability of APP-procedural cadets (correlation of product moment r = 87.3%), where cognitive ability has an influence of 83.6% on the practice ability of APP procedural cadets. It is known that an important factor supporting the improvement of the ability of air traffic controller cadets in practice in the APP-procedural lab is to improve each of their cognitive abilities.
