UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KEAKTIFAN PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING PADA MATERI POLINOMIAL DI KELAS XI MIPA 8 SMAN 1 PALU

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik dalam presentasi melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi polinomial di kelas XI MIPA 8 SMAN 1 Palu. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri atas empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 36 peserta didik. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keaktifan peserta didik dalam presentasi, yakni dari kondisi awal sebesar 30%, meningkat menjadi 65% pada siklus I, dan mencapai 82% pada siklus II. Dengan demikian, penerapan model Problem Based Learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik dalam presentasi pada materi polinomial.
This classroom action research aims to improve students’ activeness in presentations through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the polynomial topic in Grade XI MIPA 8 at SMAN 1 Palu. The study was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of four stages: planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research were 36 students. Data were collected through observation, field notes, and documentation. The results showed an increase in students’ activeness in presentations, from the initial condition of 30%, to 65% in the first cycle, and reaching 82% in the second cycle. Therefore, the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model proved effective in enhancing students’ activeness in presentations on the polynomial topic.
