ANALISIS MOTIVASI BELAJAR DALAM PEMBERIAN REWARD MELALUI ICE BREAKING PADA PESERTA DIDIK KELAS 2 SDN SAMIR KABUPATEN TULUNGAGUNG

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas 2 di SDN Samir Kabupaten Tulungagung dengan strategi pemberian reward melalui ice breaking. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan permasalahan rendahnya motivasi belajar peserta didik yang berdampak pada kurangnya partisipasi dan fokus dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi untuk memahami fenomena motivasi belajar yang dipengaruhi oleh penerapan reward berupa pujian, yel-yel, tepuk tangan, dan acungan jempol. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas 2 sebanyak 9 peserta didik dan guru wali kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian reward melalui ice breaking mampu meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Peserta didik menjadi lebih aktif, fokus, dan semangat. Ice breaking yang dikombinasikan dengan reward verbal menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan interaktif, serta mampu mempertahankan perhatian dan keterlibatan peserta didik. Guru juga merasakan manfaat dari penerapan strategi ini karena dapat membangun kedekatan dengan peserta didik dan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa pemberian reward melalui ice breaking menjadi strategi yang efektif dan hemat biaya dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar. Penerapan strategi ini dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif menciptakan inovasi pembelajaran di era Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan kemandirian dan kreativitas guru dalam proses belajar mengajar.
This study aims to analyze the learning motivation of grade 2 students at SDN Samir, Tulungagung Regency through the strategy of providing rewards via ice breaking activities. The background of this research is based on the issue of low student motivation, which impacts their participation and focus during lessons. The research employs a qualitative approach using phenomenological methods to understand the phenomenon of learning motivation influenced by the application of rewards such as praise, cheers, applause, and thumbs-up gestures. The subjects in this study were 9 second-grade students and the class teacher. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that providing rewards through ice breaking effectively increases students' learning motivation. Students became more active, focused, and enthusiastic during the learning process. Ice breaking combined with verbal rewards created a fun and interactive learning atmosphere, which helped maintain students' attention and engagement. Teachers also experienced benefits from implementing this strategy, as it fostered a closer relationship with students and created a more conducive learning environment. The conclusion of this study is that the provision of rewards through ice breaking is an effective and low-cost strategy to enhance learning motivation, especially for elementary school students who are highly influenced by a joyful learning environment. The application of this strategy can serve as an alternative for creating innovative learning in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes teacher autonomy and creativity in the teaching and learning process.
