ANALISIS EFISIENSI PROSES PRODUKSI DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRODUKTIVITAS DI PT INDOFOOD SUKSES MAKMUR TBK

Abstrak

This study aims to analyze the efficiency of the production process at PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk and its impact on overall productivity. PT Indofood, as one of the leading food and beverage manufacturers in Indonesia, relies heavily on streamlined production processes to maintain competitive advantage and meet market demands. The research focuses on identifying factors that influence production efficiency, such as machine utilization, workforce performance, raw material management, and production planning. A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining quantitative data analysis from production records and qualitative insights from interviews with production managers and staff. The findings indicate that inefficiencies in machine maintenance schedules and delays in raw material supply significantly affect the production cycle time. Furthermore, inconsistencies in workforce training contribute to variations in output quality and processing speed. To address these challenges, the implementation of an integrated production planning system and continuous improvement strategies such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Manufacturing are recommended. These strategies are shown to reduce waste, improve machine reliability, and enhance employee performance. The study concludes that improving production efficiency not only boosts productivity but also strengthens the company’s ability to respond to market changes rapidly. The recommendations provided are expected to support PT Indofood in optimizing its production operations for long-term sustainability and profitability. Future research is suggested to explore the integration of digital technologies, such as Industry 4.0 practices, in the company’s production process to further enhance performance and adaptability.
