HUKUM ADAT MELAYU JAMBI SEJAK MASUKNYA ISLAM

Abstrak

Tulisan ini berlatarbelakang tentang hukum adat Melayu Jambi sejak masuknya Islam guna untuk melihat explorasi struktur sosial dan nilai-nilai masyarakat adat Melayu Jambi sebelum masuknya Islam dan pengaruhnya setelah masuknya agama Islam melalui metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana  pengaruh Islam dalam tatanan nilai-nilai  hukum adat Melayu Jambi.  Hasil dari masuknya Islam di tanah melayu melahirkan istilah "adat bersendi syarak, syarak bersendi Kitabullah" untuk menyoroti interaksi yang kompleks antara hukum adat, syariah Islam, dan ajaran Al-Quran pada kehidupan masyarakat Melayu yang ada di Jambi. Dapat disimpulkan masuknya Islam mempengaruhi nilai-nilai masyarat melayu, nila-nilai adat harus sejalan dengan nilai-nilai syarak yang harus berpegang pada kitabullah yaitu alqur’an dan hadist.

This article is set against the backdrop of the customary law of the Malay people of Jambi since the introduction of Islam, in order to explore the social structure and values of the indigenous Malay community of Jambi before the arrival of Islam and its influence after the entry of the Islamic religion through descriptive qualitative methods with the aim of finding out to what extent the influence of Islam in the order of values of the customary law of the Malay Jambi. The result of the entry of Islam in the Malay land gave birth to the term “adat bersendi syarak, syarak bersendi Kitabullah” to highlight the complex interaction between customary law, Islamic sharia, and the teachings of the Quran in the life of the Malay community in Jambi. It can be concluded that the entry of Islam influenced the values of the Malay community, the values of custom must be in line with the values of sharia which must adhere to the book of Allah, namely the Quran and hadiths.
