UNSUR PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM BUDAYA MELAYU JAMBI

Abstrak

Komponen pendidikan Islam telah terintegrasi dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan sehari-hari orang Melayu yang mayoritas beragama Islam. Pendidikan Islam tidak hanya diajarkan secara formal di lembaga pendidikan, tetapi juga masuk ke dalam tradisi, kebiasaan, bahasa, dan karya sastra masyarakat. Sejarah pendidikan Islam di Jambi berlangsung sejak awal kedatangan Islam di Nusantara pada abad ke-13. Sejak saat itu, ajaran Islam mulai menyebar dan berdampak pada berbagai aspek kehidupan masyarakat Melayu Jambi. Selain diajarkan di masjid dan madrasah, nilai-nilai Islam diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari melalui berbagai tradisi dan adat istiadat. Hal ini menghasilkan masyarakat yang religius dan moral. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur, tetapi tidak juga mengesampingkan metode penelitian sejarah. Tujuan dari penulisan ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana nilai dari pendidikan Islam berpengaruh terhadap Budaya Melayu Jambi serta mempertahankan atau berpegang teguh terhadap agama Islam ditengah kentalnya adat melayu Jambi. Sehingga nilai dari adat Budaya Melayu Jambi semakin kuat tanpa menghilangkan nilai nilai agama yang telah di ajarkan.

The components of Islamic education have been integrated into various aspects of the daily lives of the Malay people, who are predominantly Muslim. Islamic education is not only taught formally in educational institutions, but also permeates the traditions, customs, language, and literary works of society. The history of Islamic education in Jambi began with the arrival of Islam in the archipelago in the 13th century. Since then, Islamic teachings started to spread and impacted various aspects of the life of the Malay community in Jambi. Besides being taught in mosques and madrasas, Islamic values are applied in daily life through various traditions and customs. This results in a religious and moral society. The method used in this writing is a qualitative descriptive method with a literature study approach, but it does not exclude the historical research method either. The purpose of this writing is to understand how the values of Islamic education influence the Malay Jambi culture and to maintain or uphold the Islamic faith amidst the strong Malay Jambi customs. So that the values of the Malay Jambi cultural customs become stronger without eliminating the religious values that have been taught.
