PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA MELALUI PENERAPAN TEKNIK THINK PAIR SHARE (TPS)

Abstrak

Permasalahan yang terjadi di SMAN 9 Tasikmalaya yaitu rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan teknik think pair share dalam model cooperative learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi konsep kerjasama internasional. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan jenis eksperimen semu, dengan desain penelitian menggunakan desain non equivalent control group design, serta Teknik pengumpulan data melalui test uraian. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI IPS di SMAN 1 Manonjaya pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 170 siswa. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas XI IPS 5 yang berjumlah 34 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 4 yang berjumlah 35 orang sebagai kelas kontrol dengan pengambilan sampel menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa terdapat pengaruh teknik think pair share dalam model cooperative learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi kerjasama internasional, dimana Ha diterima jika nilai sig.(2-tailed) ≤0.05 dan berdasarkan penelitian diperoleh nilai sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0.000 < 0.05. Rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan dalam penelitian ini bahwa teknik think pair share dalam model cooperative learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.
