PERBANDINGAN METODE BINA MARGA DAN METODE PCI (PAVEMENT CONDITION INDEX) DALAM PENILAIAN KONDISI PERKERASAN JALAN

(Studi Kasus: Jalan Karang Panggung-Arga Indah Ii Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah)

Abstrak

Highways are one of the means of land transportation that have an important role in human life, especially to support the economy and socio-culture. To facilitate the movement/mobility of the community so that it can provide good service according to the desired capacity, if there is road damage, it will hamper community activities, causing accidents. The benefits of this study are to determine the types of damage and to determine the value of the Karang Panggung-Arga Indah II road pavement index, so that it can compare the condition values of the Karang Panggung-Arga Indah II road based on two predetermined methods. The methods used are the PCI (Pavement Condition Index) method and the Bina Marga method. The assessment of road conditions in the PCI method is with a value of 0-100 while the Bina Marga method is based on the order of the road priority table with a value of 0-7. The types of damage found on the 2 km Karang Panggung-Arga Indah II road include potholes, sinkholes, crocodile skin cracks, side cracks, grain release and patches. In the PCI method, the average value obtained was 41.1 which is a poor road condition. In the Bina Marga method, the priority order value is 6.25, which means the road is on the routine maintenance program. After comparing the results of this study, the study of Jalan Karang Panggung-Arga Indah II using the two methods actually got almost the same results and values, namely the condition of the road section is poor
