FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN TINGKAT KETERGANTUNGAN ACTIVITY OF DAILY LIVING PADA LANSIA DI WILAYAH DEPOK III
Kata Kunci:
Aktivitas Fisik, Activity Of Daily Living, Kemandirian Lansia, Tingkat Ketergantungan, LansiaAbstrak
Berbagai faktor seperti usia, jenis kelamin, indeks massa tubuh (IMT), pendidikan, status pernikahan, status tempat tinggal, pekerjaan, status kesehatan, dan aktivitas fisik diduga memengaruhi tingkat kemandirian lansia.
Introduction: The increasing number of elderly people in Indonesia has resulted in increased health problems that can reduce the ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Various factors such as age, gender, body mass index (BMI), education, marital status, residential status, employment, health status, and physical activity are thought to influence the level of independence of the elderly. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the level of dependency and independence of the elderly in the Depok III area and determine the most dominant factors.. Method: The study used an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach on 98 elderly people selected using purposive sampling. Physical activity was measured using the IPAQ-E, ADL independence using the Barthel Index, and data were analyzed using the Chi-square test and logistic regression. Result: BMI (p<0.001), health status (p<0.001), and physical activity (p<0.001) were significantly associated with ADL dependency, while age, gender, education, marital status, residential status, and occupation did not show significant associations. Multivariate analysis showed physical activity as the most dominant factor (OR=41.659; p=0.006). Conclusion: BMI, health status, and physical activity are related to the level of ADL dependence in the elderly, with physical activity being the most dominant factor that needs to be increased to maintain and improve the independence of the elderly.
