PERSPEKTIF GENDER DAN HUKUM ISLAM: KESESUAIAN PEMBAGIAN PERAN SUAMI ISTRI PADA PEDAGANG DI MAGELANG UTARA, KOTA MAGELANG DENGAN SYARIAT ISLAM

Abstrak

One of the Sharia laws in Islam is that he is commanded to marry and it is forbidden for him to commit adultery. In marriage, a man acts as the head of the family and has the obligation to provide for children and wives. and obliged to complete household chores. The duty of a wife to raise or care for children. The paradigm shift of society in the era of globalization cannot negate the patriarchal culture that is still inherent in Indonesian society. Some people began to have an awareness of the division of roles and responsibilities in the household. The purpose of this study is to find out how the conditions that exist in society are compatible with the conditions that should be according to Islam regarding the role of husband and wife in the family. This research uses a random sampling method in the form of interviews with field researchers by applying qualitative methods. From this study, it was found that the conditions of merchant families that occurred in North Magelang District towards suitability in marriage were almost in accordance with Islamic law, but there were still differences between practices in the community and the teachings of Islamic sharia law.
