KEMAMPUAN MENGIDENTIFIKASI GAGASAN POKOK DALAM TEKS NARATIF FABEL OLEH SISWA KELAS VII (i) SMP NEGERI 5 KOTA KUPANG TAHUN PELAJARAN 2025/2026

Abstrak

Skripsi ini berjudul “Kemampuan Mengidentifikasi Gagasan Pokok dalam Teks Naratif Fabel oleh Siswa Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026” oleh Arni Talan, yang dibimbing oleh Ona Diana Bani, S.Pd., M.Hum. Selaku pembimbing I, dan John Darwis Fallo, S.Pd., M.Pd. Selaku pembimbing II. Masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana kemampuan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026 dalam mengidentifikasi gagasan pokok pada teks naratif fabel. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026 dalam mengidentifikasi gagasan pokok pada teks naratif fabel. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan normatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang memperoleh predikat sangat baik berjumlah 11 orang atau 36,7%, predikat baik berjumlah 11 orang atau 36,7%, predikat cukup berjumlah 7 orang atau 23,3%, dan predikat kurang berjumlah 5 orang atau 3,3%. Berdasarkan judul teks naratif fabel tentang “Perjalanan Si Kura-Kura” maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang Tahun Pelajaran 2025/2026 dalam mengidentifikasi gagasan pokok pada teks naratif fabel tergolong baik dan mencapai harapan.

This thesis is entitled "The Ability to Identify Main Ideas in Fable Narrative Texts by Grade VIII Students of SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang in the 2025/2026 Academic Year" by Arni Talan, supervised by Ona Diana Bani, S.Pd., M.Hum. The problem raised in this study is how the ability of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang in the 2025/2026 Academic Year in identifying the main ideas in fable narrative texts. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang in the 2025/2026 Academic Year in identifying the main ideas in fable narrative texts. The approach used in this study is a normative approach. The method used in this study is qualitative.  Based on the research results and discussion, it was shown that 11 students (36.7%) received excellent grades, 11 (36.7%) received good grades, 7 (23.3%) received fair grades, and 5 (3.3%) received poor grades. Based on the title of the narrative fable text, "The Journey of the Turtle," it can be concluded that the ability of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Kupang City in the 2025/2026 academic year to identify the main idea in narrative fable texts is considered good and meets expectations.
