ANALISIS RESIKO KECELAKAAN KERJA MENGGUNAKAN METODE HAZARD IDENTIFICATION RISK ASSESMENT AND RISK CONTROL (HIRARC) DI PT. XYZ

Abstrak

Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) merupakan aspek penting dalam kegiatan industri, khususnya pada industri tekstil yang memiliki potensi bahaya tinggi akibat penggunaan mesin dan bahan kimia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PT Xyz dengan fokus pada pengoperasian mesin Stenter di bagian PFN (Preparation Finishing Number), yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya, menilai tingkat risiko, serta menentukan upaya pengendalian risiko kecelakaan kerja menggunakan metode Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC). Metode penelitian meliputi observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan penilaian risiko dilakukan berdasarkan tingkat kemungkinan (likelihood) dan tingkat keparahan (severity) untuk mengklasifikasikan risiko ke dalam kategori rendah, sedang, dan tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya potensi bahaya berupa paparan debu serat kain, bagian mesin yang bergerak, suhu tinggi, uap bahan kimia, kebisingan, serta bahan kimia finishing, dengan sebagian besar aktivitas berada pada tingkat risiko sedang dan aktivitas pengisian bahan kimia finishing memiliki tingkat risiko tinggi. Upaya pengendalian yang direkomendasikan meliputi pengendalian teknis, administratif, serta penggunaan alat pelindung diri (APD) yang diharapkan dapat meminimalkan risiko kecelakaan kerja dan menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih aman.

Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) is a crucial aspect in industrial activities, particularly in the textile industry, which involves various potential hazards arising from machinery operation and chemical usage. This study was conducted at PT Xyz and focuses on the operation of the Stenter machine in the PFN (Preparation Finishing Number) section, aiming to identify potential hazards, assess risk levels, and determine appropriate risk control measures using the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) method. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, and documentation, while risk assessment was carried out by evaluating likelihood and severity to classify risks into low, medium, and high categories. The results show that potential hazards include exposure to fabric fiber dust, moving machine components, high temperatures, chemical vapors, noise, and finishing chemicals, with most activities categorized as medium risk and the filling of finishing chemicals identified as high risk. Recommended control measures consist of engineering controls, administrative controls, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), which are expected to reduce occupational accident risks and improve workplace safety.
