KECERDASAN EMOSI DAN PERILAKU KONTRAPRODUKTIF KARYAWAN PT. X

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dan perilaku kontraproduktif pada karyawan PT X. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling dengan total partisipan sebanyak 60 karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua alat ukur. Alat ukur skala ukur emotional intellegent (EI) yang dibuat oleh Wong & Lawb (2002) Sedangkan alat ukur skala counterproductive work behavior-checklist (CWB-C) yang dipublikasikan oleh Spector, P.E., Fox., Penney, L.M., Bruursema, K., Goh, A., & Kessler, S (2006). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson product moment dari Karl Pearson. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi sebesar r = 0,51 ; p < 0,05 yang artinya tidak terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kecerdasan emosi dan perilaku kontraproduktif pada karyawan PT X, semakin tinggi Kecerdasan Emosi maka semakin rendah Perilaku Kontraproduktif karyawan PT. X. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah Kecerdasan Emosi maka semakin tinggi pula Perilaku Kontraproduktif.

This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and counterproductive behavior in employees of PT X. In this study, researchers used a non-probability sampling technique with a total of 60 employees as participants. This study used two measuring instruments. The emotional intelligence (EI) scale measuring instrument created by Wong & Lawb (2002) While the counterproductive work behavior-checklist (CWB-C) scale measuring instrument published by Spector, PE, Fox., Penney, LM, Bruursema, K. , Goh, A., & Kessler, S (2006). The data analysis technique in this study used the Pearson product moment correlation test from Karl Pearson. The results of the study showed a correlation of r = 0.51; p <0.05 which means that there is no positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and counterproductive behavior in employees of PT X, the higher the Emotional Intelligence, the lower the Counterproductive Behavior of employees of PT. X. Conversely, the lower the Emotional Intelligence, the higher the Counterproductive Behavior.
