PENERAPAN LEMBAR KERJA PESERTA DIDIK BERBASIS INQUIRY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN LITERASI SAINS PESERTA DIDIK KELAS III MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH AL-MUKHLISIN

Abstrak

Literasi sains merupakan kemampuan sesorang untuk memahami, mengkomunikasikan, serta menerapkan pengetahuan sains untuk memecahkan masalah sehingga memiliki sikap dan kepekaan terhadap diri sendiri dengan lingkungan sekitar. Berdasarkan hasil studi penialian yang dilakukan PISA (Progame for Internasional Student Assesment) mengungkapkan bahwa pembelajaran sains di indonesia belum berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Maka dari itu perlu adanya perbaikan dalam pelaksanaan model pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan, salah satunya menggunakan pembelajaran inquiry. Metode inquiry merupakan metode yang memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk terlibat secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran melalui pengamatan, penyelidikan, dan analisis data. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas III dan objeknya siswa kelas III di MI Al-Mukhlisin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah agar terjadinya peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan kemampuan literasi siswa melalui penerapan LKPD berbasis inquiry, diperoleh persentase ketuntasan kemampuan literasi sains siswa prasiklus dengan persentase 10,55 %, siklus I 55 %, dan siklus II 90%. Terjadinya peningkatan aktivitas guru dan siswa siklus I dengan persentase 68%, siklus II 82% dan juga peningkatan postest I 70%, postest II 85%.

Scientific literacy is a person’s ability to understand, communicte and apply scientific knowledge to solve problems so that they have an attitude and sensivity towards themselves and the environment arround them. Based on the results of an assessment study conducted by PISA (Progame for International Student Assessment) it was reveleaded that science learning in Indonesia has not succeeded in improving students’ scientific literacy skills. Therefore, there needs to be inpovements in the implementation of the leaning model implemented, one of wich is uring inquiry learning. The inquiry method is a method that provides students with the oppurtunity to be actively involved in the learning proccess thorugh observation, investigation and data analysis. This type of research (PTK). The research subjects were class III teacher and the objects were class III students at MI Al-Mukhlisin. The aim of this reseacrh is to increas student’s scientific literacy skills. The results of this research show that there is an increase in student’s literacy skils through the application of inquiry-based LKPD, the percentage of completion of student’s scientific literacy skills in pre-cycle is 10,55 %, cycle I is 55%, and cycle II is 90%. There was an increase in the teacher and student activity in cycle I with a percentage of 68%, cycle II 82% and also an increase in postest I 70%, postets II 85%.
