Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kendala dalam proses pemesanan tiket pada PT. Kerinci Wisata Ekspres yang masih dilakukan secara manual, seperti melalui telepon atau pencatatan tertulis, sehingga sering terjadi kesalahan data, dan keterlambatan konfirmasi. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan merancang sistem informasi pemesanan tiket berbasis website guna meningkatkan efisiensi proses pemesanan melalui fitur-fitur seperti pencarian tiket, pemesanan, dan pembayaran. Sistem dikembangkan dengan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Pengujian perangkat lunak dilakukan menggunakan metode Blackbox Testing, yang menunjukkan bahwa sistem telah berjalan sesuai fungsinya. Selain itu, hasil evaluasi menggunakan skala likert yang melibatkan pihak admin dan pelanggan menghasilkan nilai kelayakan sebesar 88%, yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa sistem berhasil dirancang sesuai kebutuhan pengguna dan mendukung peningkatan layanan perusahaan secara signifikan.

This research was motivated by issues in the ticket booking process at PT. Kerinci Wisata Ekspres, which is still conducted manually, such as through telephone calls or handwritten notes. This often leads to data errors, and delays in confirmation. To address these problems, this study aims to design a web-based ticket booking information system to improve the efficiency of the booking process through features such as ticket search, booking, and payment. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method with PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database. Software testing was conducted using the Blackbox Testing method, which showed that the system functions as expected. In addition, the evaluation results using a Likert scale involving admin and customer respondents produced a feasibility score of 88%, which falls into the "highly feasible" category. This indicates that the system has been successfully designed according to user needs and significantly supports service improvement for the company.
