Education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level plays a crucial role in shaping students’ cognitive foundations and character. However, science (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam or IPA) learning in MI is still often dominated by rote memorization, which limits the development of students’ critical thinking skills. This study aims to analyze the integration of the Pancasila Student Profile as a strategy to enhance students’ critical thinking abilities in science learning at the MI level. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method using a library research approach through content analysis of relevant literature and previous studies. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile dimensions—particularly critical reasoning—is effective in fostering students’ critical thinking skills through the application of 21st-century learning models such as Problem-Based Learning (PBL), project-based learning, and group discussions. The integration of Pancasila values with Islamic scientific concepts, such as human responsibility as khalifah fil ardhi, strengthens students’ moral and spiritual development. Nevertheless, challenges remain in implementation, including limited teacher training, inadequate infrastructure, and the abstract nature of critical thinking for younger learners. The study concludes that integrating the Pancasila Student Profile within science learning not only enhances critical thinking skills but also cultivates students’ independence, creativity, and moral character. The study recommends developing science modules based on the Pancasila Student Profile and providing continuous teacher training to support the effective implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.
